July 13th, 2012 Cavendish, Prince Edward Island

Magnetic hill B&B very simple breakfast of fruit salad and pancakes, could have done with some meat or protein of any sort.

Picked up camping gear and food in Moncton, NB.

Had to pickup gas for our gas guzzler, still no replacement vehicle available from Budget.  Carol found me some 3rd degree Doritos!  For the record, Dave, they are not that hot ;)

Drove two hours to Confederation bridge.

Took back roads to Cavendish, PEI.

Took an hour at Cavendish to find good site, seems park employees have no idea anything about their own park.  Was also surprised to find garbage (even batteries!!!) in fire pits around the park.

Fire ban, too dry, can't cook food :(

Walked beach and Marsh trail, very nice, reminded me a lot of Long Point, Ontario.

Went to Fishermans Wharf.  Carol ordered her PEI lobster and I had 1/2 chicken.  60 foot salad bar and seafood chowder included.  We both liked our meals, and I thought the chowder was good.  Was not impressed by the salad bar though, could have used more actual fresh salad fixins.

Back to campsite was raining, played cards in the tent.
